In 1946 following military service John Charles Simmons resumed his professional career at Saltburn Salerooms.
In 1968 his son John entered the firm as trainee Auctioneer & Valuer and the firm became known as J.C. Simmons & Son.
Auctioneer & Valuer Tim Aked trained and worked in Whitby before joining Saltburn Salerooms in 1990.
